I
had a 5 hour Trip today with Duane from Dallas, Texas. We departed the
marina at 6:30 am and fished the last 5 hours of the incoming tide. We
are on a New Moon and the tides were more extreme than normal. We had
a negitave low tide and almost 8ft High Tide.
Water
clarity was excellent at all drops that we fished. Started by catching
and releasing quite a few ladyfish. We were targeting speckled seatrout
and caught some at most drops with 90% of them 13 inches. We also caught
1 small bonnethead shark. Water temps are approaching 90 degrees, so we
were happy with the keepers we got.
Duane
will be coming back to Savannah from time to time and as fall is quickly
approaching , the fishing should get better so I hope we go again.
