Capt. Rick had a 8 hour 5 person charter today for Miss Judy Charters. Upon pickup only 4 of the group showed, and they cut the trip short to 6 hrs due to the weather. We fished thru several storms with the water temp at 85° and choppy to rough in most spots. Fished around Wassaw sound and caught a few trout but a huge amount of ladyfish. Tried for large sharks and tarpon near the end of the trip. Caught one 6 foot shark that released himself befor I could get a picture. Then caught 2 more small ones. A good day on the water considering how rough the water was. Had some real nice swells on the ocean side of Cabbage island. Didn't get a picture of the sunrise due to heavy clouds and rain.

Capt. Jeremy had a 4 hour 2 person charter today for Miss Judy Charters. Fished out in the sound with water temps in the upper 80's. Didn't take the camera today as this was a last minute trip. Water was clear and they caught and released several redfish and plenty of ladyfish.

Capt. Rick had a 4 hour 3 person charter today for Miss Judy Charters. Trip started at 8am. and we fished the incoming tide. Started out in wassaw sound, around where we scouted yesterday, but had to move frequently due to dodging several thunderstorms. They started moving in from the south, then seemed to move in from the east. Got in heavy rains a couple of times but were still able to catch a few fish. Caught and released a few sharks, speckled seatrout and undersized redfish. Rain seemed to keep the heat down today.

Capt. Rick had a scouting trip today with his good friend Bill Coslett from Florida. We started at 6:30 and fished all the incoming. Started in Wassaw sound and finished at St. Augustine cut. Water clarity was ok in the sound but as the tide started coming in it got cloudy. Caught a lot of small reds and trout and kept a few trout for a meal. It was a good day on the water with a good friend. Sun just starting to rise at 6:15 am.

Capt. Jeremy had a 4 hour 4 person trip for Miss Judy today. He left the dock at10:30 am. Again they had to deal with fast current and high tides. This group wanted to catch a few sharks, but settled for some flounder, trout and small redfish. They kept a few fish and released the rest. Water temp is in the upper 80's out in Wassaw sound. They did manage to catch and release at the boat a huge bonnethead shark.

Capt. Jeremy had a 5 hour 2 person trip for Miss Judy today. He left the dock at 7am. Capt. Jeremy did not take any pictures today. They were after trout and reds, but were releasing everything. They got into a huge school of undersized redfish out in Wassaw sound as well as a few trout. They tides were extremely high and the water was a turbid color, they caught most of the fish on the last hour of the trip.

Capt. Rick had a 4 hour 2 person charter today. This was the same two people Capt. Jeremy had the day before, Dr. Kimmy White and his son Christian. They continued to catch some trout and redfish. However most of the redfish were just not legal size today. We did catch and release a large bonnet head shark.

08/07/2010 ( trip 1)
Capt. Rick had a 6 hour 4 person trip for Miss Judy today. This was a group trip, that I have had with Patrick several times over the last few years. He brought another law enforcement agent and 2 fireman this trip. We had nonstop action most of the day and lost an oversized redfish at the boat. The water temp was 89° at most stops. We left at 6:30 am and finished by 12:30 pm. Water clarity was excellent and we fished the outgoing water. We kept a few trout and a couple of bonnethead sharks. More people are opting to keeping the sharks since the trout are a little more scarce this year.

08/07/2010 ( trip 2)
Captain Jeremy took a father and son out from 1pm until 6pm and they caught several trout and undersized redfish. They didn't take any pictures on this trip. Pictures below are of Trip1. Unfortunatly one of the bonnethead sharks was on the verge of spawning.

Capt. Rick had a 5 hour 2 person trip for Miss Judy today. This was a father and son trip. Thomas was the young man and his Dad was Hershel, and they were very good at presenting the bait to the right locations.

Water Temp was 87.5 - 89°at Wassaw Sound. The action was non stop out in Salt ponds kept 6 trout and 1 flounder and released at a minimum of 25 undersized and borderline trout. Also caught and released 2 nice bonnethead sharks. We did have to fish thru some blue fish as well. The heat index was way up there as we started the day at 10:30 to fish the incoming tides.

Capt. Jeremy had a 4 hour 1 person trip for Miss Judy today. He left the dock at 11am. Since this was a last minute gig he didn't get the camera. Capt. Jeremy reported that the water conditions was the same as on the forth. Also this was a release only trip and they released around 50 speckled trout.

Capt. Jeremy had a 4 hour 2 person trip for Miss Judy today. Water Temp was 89°at Wassaw Sound. This was almost a carbon copy of 8.2.2010. However these guys wanted to catch some sharks, so they caught a few sharks, kept 2 nice bonnet head sharks and kept 6 speckled seatrout for a meal. They actual caught around 50 trout, but had about half of those were short by a cats whisker.

On another note, we lost a bolt out of the powerpole and also the number 1 livewell pump went out. I had Troy Bradley plumb a 2nd livewell pump and raw water pickup 2 years ago. It paid off today and Capt. Jeremy just had to flip a couple valves and switches, didn't lose a single live bait from ADAMS BAIT HOUSE. Troy then came to the marina late today and installed a replacement pump and a new bolt for the powerpole. Back in business without missing a beat.
A huge thanks to Troy Bradley

Capt. Jeremy had a 5 hour 3 person trip for Miss Judy today. Water Temp was 89°at Wassaw Sound. They had action from the start to finish, other than they got in a storm for a little while. Also the power pole broke on its own. It wouldn't retract and Capt. Jeremy had to tie the Power Pole up with a rope. They kept 16 seatrout and 1 flounder. Water was clear and the tides were gentle.

Capt. Rick had a 4 hour 4 person trip for Miss Judy today. Water Temp was 87.5 - 89°at most locations. Heat index for today and yesterday was around 110 degrees. Started in wassaw sound at 7:30 am today. We spent all but the last hour and a half fishing Wassaw Sound. We move inshore to see if we could cath anything besides, trout, bluefish and sharks. We released a nice blactip shark today as well. All fish caught on either pogies that I caught or live shrimp from Adams Baithouse. Pictured below is Josh holding his shark and holding one of the 8 trout that we kept today. Also pictured is a live pogie.
