Capt. Rick had a 4 hour 5 person charter, for Miss Judy Charters. Trip started at 8:00 am. Started off cloudy and stayed overcast most of the morning, but the water clarity was good at most spots. Wind was stiffer than the 5 knots out of the southwest that was predictated. All fish were caught on live shrimp From ADAMS BAIT in Thunderbolt.

Decided to fish the sound since the fishing out there has been good. Found some protected water and fished the last couple of incoming and the first hour of outgoing. Water temp was down to a low of 82.3°. The water temp has been falling slowly for the last couple of weeks. Even though we had 5 people on the boat, they were very cooporative and kept tangles to an absolute minimum. We all had a good time and looking foward for when they can come back. Caught quite a few small trout, as well as plenty of bonnethead sharks. Kept 2 sharks, 3 speckled seatrout, 1 large bluefish and 1 nice spanish mackeral. The mackeral was caught inside the line of demarcation.

Capt. Rick had a 5 hour 4 person charter, for Miss Judy Charters. Trip started at 7:30am, and they were on time and ready to fish. I bought 3 quarts of live shrimp from Adams Bait House and they were the perfect bait size. We caught several small trout and kept 3 that were 17 inches and 1 14 inch trout. The main issue today was fast tides and many ladyfish. The Trout are there you just have to fish thru the ladyfish and bluefish. Also kept a very nice Male bonnethead shark. Oh and the Sunrise really popped today! I really enjoy the sunrises, not much on sunsets as that starts the end of the day.

Capt. Rick had a 6 hour 4 person charter, that turned into a 2 person gig for Miss Judy Charters. Trip started at 6:30am, but they were about 1/2 hour late. This did impact the trip as I planned for 4 people (bait, equipment). Also needed to get started as early as possible to catch as much high tide as possible. As it was we did real well and kept 8 redfish, 2 trout and 2 flounder. Released 20 - 30 redfish, several bluefish and about 6 trout. Also had a 3 foot tarpon self release at first jump at the boat, cut the leader with his gills. Water temp bumped 84.5 and was clear most all of the trip. Nice sunrise - If you have a clear view of the east at the ocean end of the sound you can see the sun
( bounce ), like an orange tennis ball.

Capt. Rick had a 4 hour 4 person charter today for Miss Judy Charters. Trip started at 7:15am, but they were a few minutes late. Had 2 quarts of live shrimp from Adams Bait and used them all. Also used a few finger mullet that I caught last night at low tide.Water temp was 83° and clear. We had light winds out of the east today. Caught about 50 ladyfish and several trout and redfish that were just short of legal. 1 person wanted to keep a few, so we kept 5 trout - from 13 inches to 15 inches. Raul had never fished before and caught his first few fish on my boat. Below is sunrise on the wilmington river and Raul with his first speckled seatrout.

Capt. Rick had took a few hours to scout some locations today. Caught a few speckled trout and about 20 redfish. Most all reds were legal or right on the slot of 14 inches. Water temp was 83° and clear at most locations. However the tides were springing and were at 10 ft in Thunderbolt. Nice day on the water but just did get in before the storms hit.

Capt. Rick had a 5 hour 5 person charter today for Miss Judy Charters. Trip started at 6:30, but they were late. Had 3 and 1/2 quarts of shrimp from Adams Bait and used them all. Water temp was 83° and clear. We had light winds out of the south east today.

Caught roughly 25 trout and at least 25 redfish, along with some bluefish. Kept 5 trout, 1 redfish and 1 large whiting for a meal. Remember to always be careful handling bluefish, as they have a nasty bite. Had one take a bite out of the end of thumb.

Capt. Rick had a 4 hour 2 person charter today for Miss Judy Charters, however it got cancelled due to unknown reason. However this morning at 6:30 Miss Judy had a trip that came up last minute so I took it. We fished the last of the outgoing and the first of the incoming. Caught several trout and kept 9 legal sized ones. Caught and released a couple border line redfish and Jerry hooked a spinner shark that cleaned him.Water temp was a solid 83 and clear.

Capt. Rick had a 8 hour 5 person charter today for Miss Judy Charters. Upon pickup only 4 of the group showed, and they cut the trip short to 6 hrs due to the weather. We fished thru several storms with the water temp at 85° and choppy to rough in most spots. Fished around Wassaw sound and caught a few trout but a huge amount of ladyfish. Tried for large sharks and tarpon near the end of the trip. Caught one 6 foot shark that released himself befor I could get a picture. Then caught 2 more small ones. A good day on the water considering how rough the water was. Had some real nice swells on the ocean side of Cabbage island. Didn't get a picture of the sunrise due to heavy clouds and rain.
