I
had a 1 person charter today with a friend, Tom who has been with me several
times . Water temp was 81 and clear as I have ever seen it. Wind was light
at 7 to 10 out of the west. We are on a New Moon and the current speed
was fast. We departed at 6:30 am an returned around noon. The barometer
had fallen quite a bit from last Sunday, and the bite was slow.
Tom
caught a short trout and a blue fish, where as I caught 3 sharks and 3
nice Speckled Seatrout from 15 inches to 19 inches. Tom caught his fish
on my ThunderBomb 2 3/4 inch popping cork, a new style body, cone shaped
without any cup and caught mine on the same rig, but my adjustable version
of that cork. We had a good day trying out new tackle and new areas. Kept
the 3 specks for a meal.
